Terms of Use
These are the house rules and the terms for using this site. They're written to be read once and remembered, not to trip anyone up. Using AFKZONE, in the building or on the page, means you're happy with them.
Using this website
This site describes the club and lets you request a station. The information here is offered in good faith and may change — hours, zones, and rates can shift, and the version at the front desk is the one that counts. Please don't try to disrupt the site or misuse the booking form.
Booking a station
A booking request is a request, not a locked contract. We confirm what we can and reply with the nearest open pace when a seat's already taken. Give us details that are actually yours so we can reach you. If plans change, a heads-up lets us free the seat for someone else.
The AFK hold
Our signature rule: step away, set your station to away, and your seat is held for twenty minutes with the timer visible on screen. On a busy night, once the timer runs out the station returns to the pool. The hold is a courtesy applied evenly to every guest, not a guarantee that overrides a full room.
The couches and shared spaces
The couches, the kettle, and the paperback shelf are shared. Keep walkways clear, keep the sound gentle, and leave the space as pleasant as you found it. Personal comforts — a blanket, a travel mug — are welcome as long as they don't crowd a neighbour. Look after your own belongings; the club can't take responsibility for items left behind.
Conduct
Be decent to the people and the hardware around you. We may ask anyone to leave who's rude, disruptive, or rough with the equipment. This is a relaxed place because everyone helps keep it that way.
Liability
We keep the stations maintained and the room in order, but we provide the club as it is and can't promise every session runs without a hiccup. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses arising from using the club or this site.
Updates
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version always lives on this page, and continuing to use AFKZONE means the latest version applies.
